摘要: 目前二进制LDPC码已得到了广泛的应用。将LDPC码由二进制扩展到多进制可以在较短或中等码长时获得更加接近香农限的性能。在码长及码率相当的情况下,多进制LDPC码可以获得比二进制LDPC码更好的纠错性能。本文简要介绍了多进制LDPC码编译码原理,提出了一种多进制LDPC码设计方法,并对所设计的多进制LDPC码的性能和编译码器资源占用进行了仿真分析,验证了多进制LDPC码拥有良好的编码性能,适用于未来的通信系统中。

Abstract: Recently, the binary LDPC codes have been applied in many applications. The expansion of binary LDPC codes to high-order Galoris Fields aims at further close the gap of performance with the Shannon limit when using small or moderate codeword lengths. When the code length and rate are quite, non-binary (NB) LDPC can obtain better error correction performance than binary LDPC codes. In this paper the principle of NB-LDPC encoding and decoding is introduced briefly, and a design method of NB-LDPC code is presented. After simulating and analyzing the performance of the propose NB-LDPC code and the resource cost of the corresponding encoder and decoder, we confirm that the NB-LDPC has better encoding performance and is suitable for the furture communication system.
