Abstract：
Numerical characteristics of random variables is important in probability theory, it has a wide range of applications in probability theory and mathematical statistics. In this paper, we point out that the existing introduction to mathematical expectation in numerical characteristics, such as the nature of logical flaws in the reasoning, clarify the mathematical expectation of reasoning problems.
