摘要: 本文报道了将CdTe/CdS量子点用作被动调Q可饱和吸收材料,在二极管泵浦的Pr:YLF晶体中产生红光可见光调Q脉冲激光,获得的最高平均输出功率、最短脉冲宽度、最高峰值功率和最高脉冲能量分别为48.3 mW、226 ns、1.4W和0.32μJ。这是目前国际上利用纳米光电材料在可见光波段调Q所获得的最好成果,也是将量子点材料应用到可见光波段的首次报道。本研究表明CdTe/CdS量子点是一种有效的可见光波段调Q器件,有望进一步利用该材料获得可见光波段超短脉冲锁模激光。

Abstract: In this paper, based on continuous-wave Pr:YLF visible laser operation at 640 nm, Q-switched laser operation has been achieved using a novel CdTe/CdS quantum dots as saturable absorber, for the first time to our knowledge. The maximum average output power, the narrowest pulse widths, maximum pulse energies and pulse peak powers have reached 48.3mW, 263 ns, 0.19 μJ and 0.71 W, respectively. This work, exhibiting the best laser performance up to now based on nano-material saturable absorber in visible spectral region, reveals that CdTe/CdS is also a promising saturable absorber for visible solid-state lasers.
