如何正确对待审稿意见和退稿

1.投稿后的结果

　　通常在2周到2个月，你会收到编辑的回复，包括审稿人的意见 (Reviewers’ comment)和一封编辑的概括信（covering letter)。一般 有下例可能性（示例21-1至示例21-4):

　　(1) 原稿接受，无需修改（publish without change)。罕见。

　　(2) 稿件退修，需轻微修改（publish with minor change)。不多见。

　　(3) 稿件退修，需重大修改（publishwithmajorchange)。很常见。

　　(4) 论文需重大修改，重投并当作新稿件处理（not publish in its present form, but resubmit after major modifications to then be treated like a new submission)。常见。

　　(5) 完全拒绝（reject)。最常见。

     一般来说，如果编辑回复的信中有以下的表达，稿件是拒稿（rejected) 了。

     (1) We regret to say that ….

     (2) We suggest that you might submit it to another journal ....

     (3) An increasing volume of submissions prevents us from publishing all worthwhile manuscripts we receive. Competition for space in our journal has increased sharply in recent months.

     示例21-4所示的信中既有rejected，又有再提交（resubmit)。问题是：知道是rejected (declined) 了，那么resubmit后有多大的希望？ 编辑是否只是客套话？

     回答：一般来说，既然编辑给你重投的机会，说明他还是认可你的 文章有新意或有价值；要认真按照审稿意见修改，要求补的实验都补 上，我相信大部分情况下都是能接受的。

　　　SCI期刊编辑部除了给作者回复以外，同时告诉Reviewer编辑对 论文的最后处理意见（示例21-5)。
