(l)核校内容。期刊编辑部发作者校样的目的只是为了让作者纠正 校样中可能存在的错误,主要是印刷错误,而不是让作者重写或大改文 章。因为在校样阶段改动太大,一是会延误期刊的按时出版;二是有可 能因版面调换而出现新的、更大的错误;三是费用较高。因此校样应尽 量少改动(仅作必要的改动),在给编辑的信中回答编辑提出的各种问 题。另外,校样应在规定的时间内按要求尽快返回编辑部,以免拖延期 刊按时出版,或因编辑部等不及校样而使错误不能得到更正。
(2) 确为原稿内容。摘要、正文、图和表中的研究或观察数据及结 果是否一致?在打印过程中无任何遗漏;注意拼写、转行或打印错误; 核查图表数据及显微照片的方向。
(3) 正确使用校对符号。国外英文生物医学期刊往往要求作者用 标准的校对符号(proofreader’s mark)校稿(marking proof)。而英国 和美国等国家使用的校对符号与中国编辑出版界使用的校对符号不完 全一致;另外,它们往往使用双重校对系统(double marking sys- tem),即不仅在文中需修改的部位做出标记,还在文旁再作标记以引 起注意。
如果SCI论文被接收了,但是还没有收到校样,由于T作单位变 动,是否可以在收到校样后修改第一作者单位地址?不行!因为投稿时 的工作单位是你在稿件中单位完成的。但是,可以写上作者为XXX单 位,现在XXX单位。
2. 用样稿修改符号(Proof Correction mark)进行样稿修改
样稿经常会发现有几处错误,需要修改。你可以列出校样稿中要修 改的地方,直接Email给编辑部,他们会帮你修改。但许多期刊要求将 正确的文字标在样稿的两边,即直接标注在PDF文件上。这时你要用 国际通用“Proof Correction mark”进行标注。修改后的样稿直接传真 或寄给编辑部,也可以扫描后Email给编辑部。一般情下,SCI论文的 样稿要求在24?72h内寄回。
3. 直接用Adobe Reader软件在PDF文件上进行修改
现在有些SCI期刊要求直接用Adobe Reader软件在PDF文件上进 行修改。PDF文件是独立性的文件,包含所有适当的格式化和所有字 体,可以显示在计算机屏幕和打印纸上。要查看和修改你的样稿,需要 Adobe Reader版本7 (或更高)。该软件可用于PC、Mac和UNIX机 器,是免费的,并可以从 http://www. adobe, com/products/acrobat/ readstep2. html 下载0
